我校研究生院作为受邀单位之一，应邀将选派1-2名学生代表参与2010年3月在哈佛大学举办的博士生论坛。代表成员均来自于澳大利亚八校联盟、美国哈佛大学和中国九所大学研究生院。具体内容及选拔要求如下：
会议题目：Climate: Science + Humanities— Graduate Perspectives from Australia, China, and the US
附属议题：Substantive topics to be considered include, but are not limited to: water and water use; the history of human-climate interaction; environmental politics; generational perceptions of/work on climate change; energy and its conversion; population questions; sustainable solutions. A global outlook, informed by the Chinese experience, is sought.（水资源和水利用；人类和气候之间的互动性的历史；环境政治；世代对于环境变化的不同感知、理解和研究；能源和能源转化；人口问题；可持续发展的解决方案，等等。总之，会议期待从中国视角和经验出发的、对全球的展望。）
地点：Dudley House, Harvard University.
会议时间：3-4 March 2010.
对学生要求：Excellence and innovation in research .Capacity to connect science and humanities on climate issues, broadly conceived. Evidence of potential for research leadership. Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
费用：浙江大学研究生院承担参加会议博士生的部分费用。
推荐名额：共4名，其中人文社会科学2名，理工农医领域2名。
选拔流程：
1、7月10日到7月23日，在校博士生自由报名。
提交电子版材料至E_mail: fg@zju.edu.cn：
1）报名表（见附件）；
2）20分钟大会发言稿的摘要（500词）；
3) 本人简历（包括科研业绩）。
2、8月1日到8月8日, 申请材料评审和面试，确定向会议推荐4名候选人名单。
3、8月15日之前，候选人准备相关材料，寄送候选人材料到哈佛。
4、9月18日左右，哈佛会议方确定最终参会人选并通知我校。
