Prof. WU Zhaohui and Prof. CHEN Jiming elected to the IEEE Fellows Class of 2019

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) released the IEEE Fellows Class of 2019 on Nov. 21. Two professors from Zhejiang University—Prof. WU Zhaohui and Prof. CHEN Jiming—were elected to be IEEE fellows for contributions to intelligent service computing and for contributions to resource allocation and optimization in wireless sensor networks respectively.

IEEE, an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity, is the world’s largest technical professional society. IEEE comprises over 400,000 members in 160 countries. These include computer scientists, software developers, information technology professionals, physicists, medical doctors, and many others in addition to IEEE’s electrical and electronics engineering core. The IEEE Fellow Award is a special recognition for members with extraordinary accomplishments in the IEEE technical fields. To ensure that the recognition is extraordinary, the total number of recipients each year cannot exceed 0.1% of the total higher grade membership.
