The 4th edition of the Mobile Application Innovation Contest, part of the China Collegiate Computing Contest, was successfully concluded at Zhejiang University on October 27. Organized by the Ministry of Education and co-hosted by Apple Inc. and Zhejiang University, the Contest attracted about 1,600 teams from colleges and universities throughout China. A total of 30 winning teams were qualified to attend the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.
Themed on 鈥渢he application of science and technology to social issues鈥, the Contest aimed at encouraging college students to take up a series of challenges in industry, agriculture, healthcare, environment and education via cutting-edge technology.
The Best Innovative Prize went to 鈥淎rt Easiest鈥, an app designed by a team from Zhejiang University. It is a short-video app by which a proper musical accompaniment can be automatically synchronized to a video by 鈥渟hake it鈥 or 鈥渟ay it鈥. The user can also create a 鈥渇ace-off鈥 effect with famous paintings or other videos via the filter. This app is very intriguing, operable, and of minimalist design.
Zhejiang University has long been a very important partner with Apple Inc. in the domain of tertiary education in China. So far, it has hosted the CCCC-Mobile Application Innovation Contest for three consecutive years and worked in close partnership with Apple Inc. in the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) program, the Regional Training Center and the iOS Club.
